Vision and Values

“Jesus said:

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind.’

This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like it: ‘Love your Neighbour as yourself.’

All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:37-40

‘Through loving God and loving others, we flourish learn & grow.’

Within the context of Christian belief and practices we aim to serve our community by providing an excellent education which develops enquiring minds and a life-long love of learning.

All members of our community are loved, valued and valuable in the eyes of God and each other. We support and challenge everyone to achieve their full potential.

To achieve this, we:

  • Teach a stimulating, balanced and relevant curriculum in school and within the wider community
  • Encourage high aspirations
  • Provide daily collective, Christian Worship
  • Treat everyone with equal respect
  • Promote and encourage strong partnerships between school, parents, the church and the wider community.

Core Values

'Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self- seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.'

1 Corinthians 13:4-5

' Yet, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand'

Isaiah 64: 8

‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.’

Colossians 3:23

What does this mean for us?

We believe that God loves all that he has created. Each individual is equally valuable and uniquely creative, with a variety of gifts and talents to be nurtured. We are committed to providing opportunities and support for every member of a school community to flourish, learn and grow.

For this to happen there needs to be a deep rooted culture of love for God and others.  We strive to foster this culture throughout all our actions and interactions as a school community.

We are all responsible for our personal growth, but we will encourage and support one another to achieve success hard work and commitment, even when we find things difficult. As a community we are always ready to learn, especially from our mistakes.
